As one of the four prestigious Grand Slam tennis tournaments, the French Open attracted sponsorship deals from 22 brands for the 2025 edition. BNP Paribas, the tournament’s largest sponsor in terms of annual value, has partnered with the French Open since 1973, supporting the growth of the tournament and promoting inclusivity in sports. The bank is a confirmed main sponsor of the tournament, with the deal valued at an estimated $19.70 million annually. Overall, the French Open 2025 generated an estimated sponsorship revenue of $73.95 million, reveals GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

GlobalData’ s latest report, “Post Event Analysis – French Open 2025”, revealed that the domestic media revenue for the 2025 edition of the French Open was valued at an estimated $33.53 million. The total prize money for the 2025 edition of the tournament was €56.35 million ($64.34 million), up by almost six per cent from 2024.

Olivia Snooks, Sport Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Compared to the sponsorship portfolio of the 2024 French Open, there were no new sponsors for the 2025 edition. However, there was an increase in sponsorship revenue by an estimated $2.35 million in 2025.”

France Télévisions, the public-service broadcaster, and Amazon Prime Video, the streaming platform, have both acquired the rights to broadcast the French Open in France. The deal is worth an estimated $36.50 million annually. The men’s singles final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, which took place on 8 June 2025, drew a strong audience for France Télévisions , with an average of 5.5 million viewers tuning into the France 2 and France 3 channels to watch Alcaraz better Sinner in an epic five-set tie. Outside of France, Discovery secured the broadcasting rights for the French Open throughout Europe in 2022.

Snooks continues: “GlobalData has projected a notable increase in annual media revenue when comparing the 2025 edition to that of 2024. The French Open in 2024 accrued an estimated media revenue of $134.43 million. In contrast, this year’s tournament is anticipated to have generated $175.50 million, representing a year-on-year growth of approximately $41.07 million. Most of this surge in media revenue can be attributed to the new agreement between Warner Bros. Discovery and the French Open in the US, which took effect prior to the 2025 edition.”

Men’s singles champion Carlos Alcaraz, and women’s singles champion Coco Gauff received €2,550,000 ($2,911,717). Despite both losing their respective singles finals, Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka both took home approximately €1,275,000 ($1,455,858). The prize money for the double’s competition is considerably less, with the men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles winner all taking home around €590,000 ($673,691) per pair, whilst the runners up received €295,000 ($336,845).

Snooks concludes: “Comparing this prize money to the other three major tournaments, the winners of the 2024 Wimbledon singles titles won £2.7 million ($3.44 million), while the 2024 US Open winners won $3.6 million, and the 2025 Australian Champions received AUD $3.5 million ($2.17 million).”
