Reproduction of part or all of the contents of any of these pages is prohibited except to the extent permitted below.
You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal use and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to content posted on our site.

6. Your use of our AI-powered tools and ownership in inputs and outputs
Where you have a contract in place with us you may, by extension, have access to one of our AI-powered tools for sales intelligence, such as ‘SAM’, which are designed to enhance sales intelligence workflows by executing predefined workflows, searching the public web; summarising content; and processing User Data; personalising responses; generating content; and updating data, records, fields and settings within GlobalData’s platform and User Data. “User Data” is all information, data, text, software, music, audio, photographs, graphics, videos, messages, tags and other materials that you post or make available through the AI-powered tools.
You are solely responsible for the User Data which you share with our AI-powered tools and you will comply with any requirements or restrictions imposed on usage of User Data by the respective owners, which may include “all rights reserved” notices, Creative Commons licenses, or other terms and conditions that may be agreed upon between you and the owners. Additionally, you warrant that you either own or have obtained licenses for all rights, titles and interests in the User Data, including all copyrights and publicity rights contained therein. Where our AI-powered tools have been integrated with any part of your systems by mutual consent, you expressly grant GlobalData a right to modify data and settings in your systems on your behalf and upon your instructions. You are responsible for any changes made by our AI-powered tools utilising your instructions and you warrant and represent that you have all consents and licenses in place to grant such rights to GlobalData.
You hereby acknowledge and accept that, in order for our AI-powered tools to function and support your inputs, and for such tools to integrate with your systems, we may need to transfer your inputs and User Data to trusted third-party partners and you hereby authorise GlobalData to share such inputs and User Data for these purposes. Third-party services provided by GlobalData’s Third-party partners are not owned or controlled by GlobalData. Accordingly, GlobalData accepts no liability for our third-party partner’s operations, security practices, data policies and damages arising from use of their services. Your continued use of our AI-powered tools constitutes your acceptance of the foregoing and you should review the terms of such third-party partners.
You should not include unauthorized sensitive or confidential information nor any personal data in your prompts and User Data, including but not limited to access keys, passwords, usernames, or personal account/invitation information. You agree to implement and maintain appropriate IT security measures, follow the IT security procedures we may notify you of from time to time, and are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining any devices, software, and other services or data necessary to connect to, access, or use our Services. We are not liable for any failure on your part to obtain or maintain these necessary devices, software, and services.
You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights in your inputs and User Data made available to our AI-powered tools and we and/or our third-party partners retain the intellectual property rights in and to outputs which are based on GlobalData’s proprietary data and/or third party materials provided by our partners and such rights are reserved. By submitting, uploading, sending, displaying User Data through our AI-powered tools, you grant us and our third-party partners a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, fully paid, and sublicensable license to use, store, host, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display your content to the extent reasonably necessary to deliver any services you are subscribing to, or purchasing from us. You also grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, fully paid license to use, store, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, your inputs, User Data and outputs which we may randomly select from time to time for the purposes of improving our services, performing quality checks and analysing messages or errors flagged by you.
GlobalData implements and maintains robust technical and organisational measures to protect User Data. User Data and outputs of any AI-powered tools are not used by GlobalData to train our AI-powered tools or any third-party’s general-purpose AI models.
You acknowledge that inputs into our AI-powered tools may be monitored by GlobalData’s automated systems in order to prevent abuse of this website, our services and AI-powered tools.
7. Disclaimer
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT OUR SITE, OR ANY CONTENT ON IT, WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE OR UNINTERRUPTED. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GlobalData, its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
(a) Your inputs and User Data, including any claim that your User Data infringes on the rights of a third party or violates any applicable law;
(b) Your use of our AI-powered tools, including any claim arising from any modifications, updates, or deletions of data made by such AI-powered tools on any platform at your instruction; and
(c) Your breach of these Terms of use.
9. Our liability
Our website is intended for business users. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall GlobalData, its affiliates, directors, employees, agents, third party partners or suppliers be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages including, without limitation, damages for any consequential loss, loss of business opportunities or projects, loss of profits or wasted expenditure howsoever arising, whether in contract, tort or otherwise from (i) your use or inability to use this site, or any of its contents, (ii) from any action or omission taken as a result of using this site or third-party services, (iii) or from any data modification, corruption or loss resulting from actions authorised or instructed by you, in each case even if we have been informed of the possibility of such damage. We reserve the right at any time, without liability for doing so, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any of the content, functions or services we offer on the site (or any part of them) with or without notice. This includes removing information transmitted by you to us.

12. Applicable Law
These terms of use, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that nothing in these terms shall limit the right of GlobalData plc or any of its group companies to take proceedings against you in any other court of competent jurisdiction, nor shall the taking of proceedings in any one or more jurisdictions preclude the taking of proceedings in any other jurisdictions, whether concurrently or not, to the extent permitted by the law of such other jurisdiction.
